Using hot pink flowers in your wedding
Pink is the top wedding color for 2011, and hot pink flowers are no exception! If you are planning your wedding with a hot pink color scheme then consider some of these bright pink flower choices for your bouquets or your decorations.
Hot Pink Gerberas
These are such versatile hot pink wedding flowers, their long stems make them ideal for use in a long trailing bouquet. Mixed with white gypsophila and green foliage plants, they can be quite sensational. Or they will look just as good in a small posy for your bridesmaid. For a sophisticated table piece, place one single long stem in a tall glass vase.
Hot Pink Carnations
Always a wedding favorite, carnations come in many different shades, so finding a variety to match your hot pink wedding theme won't be a problem, and pink carnations look great as buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen.
Hot Pink Roses
If it's a traditional floral bouquet you want, but with a slight contemporary twist, then opt for a pomander of hot pink roses. This round, or oval, flower arrangement looks sensational carried by the bride, and by using roses you can ensure that these hot pink flowers will last well throughout the day - without wilting in the sun. Roses will also hold their shape and dry extremely well if you are planning on saving flowers from your bouquet after your big day.
Hot Pink Tiger Lilies
Another wedding favorite, these long stem flowers are beautifully scented as well as being beautiful to look at. And don't let the thought of getting pollen stains on your hot pink flower girl dresses put you off using lilies, your florist will snip out the orange stamens prior to arranging your bouquets - so no nasty messes, just gorgeous flowers.
Hot Pink Calla Lilies
This long, thicker stemmed variety of lily, with their distinctive trumpet shaped flowers, is another flower that will last the whole day. Robust yet delicate, these also look great grouped together in a tall vase.
Hot Pink Orchids
Orchids are an exotic choice of pink flowers for your wedding, their structural stems look fabulous in clear glass vase arrangements. And, orchids look glorious when used as head garlands for your flower girls, or interwoven as part of your hairstyle. A few hot pink flowers from an orchid weaved into a chignon or plait can look really attractive.

The quintessential wedding posy flower, timeless and elegant. They look great with lace gowns and lend an old fashioned feel to a modern ceremony. For the perfect thank you, what could be more fitting than presenting the mother-of-the-bride, and your new mother-in-law, with a beautifully arranged bouquet of peonies?
