Table Centerpiece Ideas
We have plenty of table centerpiece ideas to help you wow your guests. Whatever your theme stunning centerpieces needn't cost a fortune.
The vintage trend is still very popular, floral cake stands look almost good enough to eat. Any tiered cake stand will do, you can often find actual vintage cake stands in charity shops for a few dollars. The 'cupcakes' are made from single flowers in co-ordinating colors. The flowers are sat in a small piece of floral foam wrapped in cellophane and then covered in fabric wrap and tied with a pretty ribbon. Hydrangeas, roses and mini gerberas work well for this design.
Giant teacups follow on from the vintage theme too. These large ceramic teacups are usually painted with stripes, flowers or polka dots. You can use them as a container to put flowers or plants in. They look delightful with an arrangement of flowers in soft vintage colors.
If you are looking for greener table centerpiece ideas, consider using plants instead of flowers. Plants can be given to guests to put in their own garden after the event, and make a cheap alternative to flowers, whilst looking just as good. If you are having your event in spring, groups of flowering bulbs look adorable. For a rustic spring look try pots of small bulbs like tete a tetes or single hyacinths wrapped in bark sheets and tied with raffia.
Submersible LED lights can add an interesting look to floral centerpieces; you can pick a color to co-ordinate with your centerpiece. They are fully waterproof battery powered lights. They come in several colors and there is one that changes color too. If you are having a winter event and want frosty looking centerpieces the pale blue light in florist gel gives a wintry glow.
As an extra surprise for guests why not put some edible treats in your floral centrepiece? Choko flowers have a real chocolate truffle enclosed in the centre of each bloom. The flowers are made of crepe paper and are simply arranged into the design as a normal flower would be. They are available in lots of colours so you can match them to your floral centrepiece.
For fresh and juicy table centerpiece ideas try using fresh fruits inside a vase. For this design you want attractive looking fruit that doesn't damage too easily such as apples, oranges, lemons or limes. This design works well using a tall cylinder vase. Your floral arrangement is made in a dish that fits the top of your vase and then simply sits on top. Depending on budget you could go for a small domed arrangement or a big elaborate display.
